On today's show, we're going to get you ready for day three of the 2026 NFL draft.

But first, let's talk about what happened last night.

It was an unusual evening for the New York Jets.

Something happened that almost never happens.

They actually listened to my advice.

But for one night, the Jets followed what I wanted them to do,

and I thought they did a tremendous job. I was thrilled by

the outcome of the second round of the NFL draft. Now, the Jets only had one pick last night.

Their third round pick was traded to Philadelphia two years ago for Hassan Reddick. Their

original second round pick was traded on Thursday night as they moved up for Omar Cooper. So the only

pick the Jets had was in the second round. It was the pick they acquired for Quinn and Williams at the

trade deadline. And as the night began, it looked like the board was falling in a really

favorable way for the New York Jets. There were lots of quality defensive prospects at positions

where the Jets had a need.

And as we approached Pick 44, it became clear that trading down would not have a big opportunity

cost. Now, I'm normally in favor of trading down anyway because the numbers tell us that

you win more often than you lose when you trade down.

Adding those extra picks in a trade down really help you out.
