And we're looking at John 4, and then we're going to be looking at Proverbs 20.

In John 4, you see the story of the woman that was at the well of Samaria that Jesus met.

He asked her to give him a drink of water, and she began to question him about how that the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans.

Then he told her, he said, if you knew who it was that was speaking to you, you would have

asked him for a drink of water, and he would have given you living water.

And she said, well, sir, the well, sir, the well, you don't have anything to draw with.

Where are you going to get this living

water? And in verse 13, Jesus answered, and said unto her, whosoever drinketh of this water,

shall thirst again. If you drink natural water, it's only temporary. As far as your thirst

being quenched, you will need to drink again, won't you?

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.

But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Glory to God. He's talking about

salvation. He's talking about the Holy Spirit in us, in the new birth. Now later on over in John 7, in fact we've talked about it a couple of times, let's just

turn over and look at it while we're this close to it.

John 7, Jesus said this, verse 37, John 737, in the last day, that great day of the

feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, if any man thirst,

let him come unto me and drink.

Let him come unto me and drink.

Let him wait on me until I just force it down his throat and all.

Let him get up and come.

Amen? And let him get up and come. Amen?

And let him drink.
