Let's join this week's conversation.

Thank you. Welcome to Mortification of Spin. My name's Carl Truman and unusually today I am flying solo.

0:56.7

And the reason I am flying solo is that Todd Pruitt has had to bow out of co-hosting because he is a guest on a very important podcast.

1:08.9

So it's my pleasure today as I fly solo to introduce the guest I have.

1:14.7

His name is the Reverend Todd Pruitt. He is pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia,

2:18.1

No, no.

2:18.8

I think most of our listeners probably guessed that actually.

2:21.9

What I've found about writing really well, if you want to write really well, of course, Carl, you know this by now, obviously.

2:29.0

But if you want to write really well, it requires like sitting down for long periods of time and getting really frustrated.

2:38.2

Yeah. Yes. Although I adopt the Hemingway approach of knock up a few hundred words first thing

2:43.7

every morning. And if half of them are rubbish, you've still got a, you know, a hundred decent words.

2:48.5

That's right. That's right. So, you know, maybe there's hope for me at some point.
