0:50.6	Well, we can't wait to hear your wisdom. You've successfully helped to grow seven startup companies
0:56.3	from early stage development to going public or being sold. How did you get to do that? We'd love to
1:02.2	hear more about your background. That is correct, but my background didn't start that way. That's for
1:07.8	sure. I actually did not start in the startup world. I actually started
1:13.6	at a large corporation, and what I found was the traditional path of school to climbing the
1:19.5	corporate ladder could not only be high risk for my career, it almost felt like a death trap.
1:25.7	And my father is like so many other fathers and mothers.
1:29.5	I remember my father just pounding into me as I was growing up.
1:33.0	He would say, Steve, get your degree, go to work for a large corporation.
1:38.4	You work hard.
1:39.7	They'll take care of you and you will have a great career.
1:42.8	Of course, he also used to say, except your mother and I would much prefer that you become a
1:48.0	doctor or a lawyer, but getting a job at a large corporation will do.
1:52.7	So that's what I did.
1:54.5	And so I graduated college and I went to work at a large corporation.
