Summary

When was the last time you wrote a song with your doctor?

Returning to the show today is our good friend, Dr. Steven Eisenberg, a triple board-certified award-winning medical doctor and co-founder of California's largest medical oncology practice.

Dr. Steven is the author of the brand new book Love Is The Strongest Medicine, and he’s host of The Dr. Steven Show boasting 50+ 5-star ratings on Apple Podcasts.

Known as The Singing Oncologist, you'll find Dr. Steven belting it out like Adam Sandler in the oncology ward to help his patients heal.

I rarely get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes when I'm reading someone's work and talking to them, but Dr. Steven gets me every time, so I’m sure you’re going to dig this one.

We're chatting about:

  • The healing effects of music and self-expression
  • How to connect with patients by treating them like family
  • Why everyone needs permission to laugh, even in the face of something like cancer
  • An easy way to squeeze in that meditation break at the end of a long day
  • And tons more...

She says, just wanted to take a moment and share that I'd really like this new app. It's easy to use,

simple but thorough, and all the right ways, and I appreciate the little reminders every day. The five-second dance party yesterday was fantastic.

I also thought I'd share that I've started meditating under my desk at work,

Lafay smiley face. I work in an elementary school library, and there's a little office with a big built-in desk.

I just absolutely love this whole little story here, and it's definitely not pointless.

It proves a point actually that we need to be willing to be the weirdos if we want to be healthy in this crazy,

chaotic, modern world. So good on you for hiding under the desk and squeezing in some quality, meditating time.

In the show with Dr. Stephen, we actually talk about that as well, you know, like being on your feet all the time,
