I was listening to a podcast, not my own podcast, someone else's one.

And I don't know, just an advert came up.

And the advert in it was far male genital grooming products.

And, firstly, here's the weird thing.

Number one, what I'm trying to get at is that we seem to have lost a sense of irony and culture.

So number one, the podcast that I was listening to was like a history of the mafia podcast.

That was kind of a cardigan in a cheesy gangster 1920s style.

So I'm listening away about Al Capone, going, wow, that sounds class.

This sounds very moody and 1920s-ish.

And then all of a sudden, the advert comes into the middle of the podcast.

And it was an advert for male genital grooming products.

But the person reading it didn't really drop character.

They kind of stayed within the mode talking about these male genital grooming products

as if they were talking about Al Capone.

And I didn't really know, I didn't notice that it was an advert.

So I'm listening to the life of Al Capone with the moody jazz music in the background.

And the fucking, you know, the feeling of a being in 1920s gangster film.
