He is the Chief Medical Officer of Vault Health and the Director of Integrative Medicine at the Simms-Mann Health and Wellness Center at Venice Family Clinic. He is a Clinical faculty member of the University of Arizona Schools of Medicine and faculty member for the Academy for Integrative Medicine and Health, where he teaches on men ā€˜s health. Dr Spar has served as a consultant to the NBA, working with many NBA teams on optimal health and Integrative Medicine issues. He co-edited Integrative Men’s Health from Oxford University Press and his book, Optimal Men’s Health: Your guide to being healthy in order to win! Was released in February, 2020. Now, before I introduced my guest for today's show, just wanted to touch on a few things.

So first and foremost, I hope that all of you are doing well in this lockdown.

I know it's a very strange time.

And for my listeners down in the States, I know that many of you are going to be in social isolation at least until the end of April.

I am up here in Canada right now and Vienna is up here with me.

And I know this can be a very trying time and I know that there are a lot of challenges that can come about with this.

You know, I'm sure that many of you have lost jobs.

You know, you're confined, maybe separated from your partner.

You might be stuck with family, which could be good or bad, depending on your family.

But, you know, I think this is a very challenging time for a lot of people where there's a lot of panic, there's a lot of anxiety, there's a lot of worry and fear.

And mostly, mostly, there's a lot of panic. There's a lot of anxiety. There's a lot of worry and fear.

And mostly, mostly there's a lot of uncertainty.

And uncertainty is one of the biggest challenges that we as individuals and we as a collective face because speculation can start to come into place.

And we can get lost trying to figure out the unsolvable question of what's going to happen,

right? What's going to happen tomorrow? What's going to happen next week? And so I just wanted to

have a quick little reminder to all of you and just send a little bit of love and groundedness

and presence to the reality that even if it's not you, even if you're taking this in stride,

there are probably many people around you that are stressed it's not you, even if you're taking this in stride, there are probably

many people around you that are stressed, that are anxious, that feel, you know, disregulated

and out of sorts because life has changed on a dime and they couldn't do anything about it.

And so there's a lot of challenges that people are facing.
