Starting in the areas of weight control and eating disorders and really expanding out into all the other areas that we might have obsessions with.

I guess the unlocking part is maybe where we'll start.

Why are sometimes we so locked up in our thoughts that we have these obsessions about

whether things are perfect or whether things are just the way we want them or

we're not good enough. Where does that come from in your experience,

especially clinically?

Well, I think it comes from a fear of success,

a fear of creating something positive in your life.

I think it's a distraction. If you focus on your. in your

creative side,

side or if you're focusing on the addiction,

whatever that might be, it actually gets in the way of productivity.

And I think it's easier on some level to focus on that addiction rather than the reality of what could be.
