But before I get to Dr Edwards, I wanted to talk about a bit about what's been going on in

brewing in New York between Governor Cuomo and Attorney General James and what this may

ultimately mean for the National Democratic Bench and a post-Biden

Democratic Party. In case you missed it a few weeks ago, New York Attorney General Letitia James issued a

report alleging that Cuomo administration under counted COVID deaths occurring in nursing homes. The administration denied the reports and now

there's a big spotlight on pushing past the Cuomo administration's messaging

around COVID and digging into their actual performance, which is on balance a good thing.

If you recall at one point during the Trump administration, Governor Cuomo almost became our

model for responsible adulthood in responding to the pandemic, and he even wrote a book about it.

I hope he didn't cast him advance checks yet. Not sure of the wisdom of writing a book

about managing a pandemic in the middle of a pandemic but he did it anyway and now we're

learning that what appeared to be a tight ship on COVID may not be as tight as we

thought it was. The woman who was forced Governor Cuomo's hand is the same

woman who was holding Donald Cuomo's hand is the same woman who is holding Donald

Donald Trump accountable.

And if you talk to anyone who works in New York, what they'll tell you is you don't cross

Andrew Cuomo.
