Why did you decide to write this book?

Well, I've been helping people on their weight loss journeys for nearly 30 years and done so in a variety of different context, individual, small groups, large groups.

And then for the last 10 years or so, at Weight Watchers.

And what had occurred to me, honestly, slowly over time, was that the people who were the most successful,

surprisingly, weren't people who ate exactly according to plan or lost weight every week
