Welcome to another episode of Pretty Lies and Alibis.

I'm Gigi. It's still Monday, April 27th.

We are going to give a very, very brief recap of the last witness of the day, Dr. Fritz.

We talked about her at the very end of the last episode.

Just a reminder, she was asked to evaluate him for the social communication aspects of those with autism,

and she evaluated him over the course of two days in jail.

She said she thinks he has a condition where people

have difficulty feeling emotions as well as feeling and expressing empathy. She said in watching

the video of Athena in the van. She doesn't see he had trouble managing feelings or emotion, which is

normally seen with people on the spectrum. She did see an increase in that when the crime is happening.

In the beginning, his language was cautious and not scary.

Then it became what she said, disrespectful and horrible to Athena.

In evaluating him, she said he was one of the worst, if not the worst evaluation I've

ever given.

He has significant difficulty with social appropriateness

like inappropriate use of humor. He lacks in his understanding and use of those speech acts.

Inability to form an appropriate way of asking for something, asking for clarification, or

offering an apology. The defense gives this hypothetical that really bothered me 10 ways to Sunday, but they said
