Hello and welcome to Under the Skin from Loominary. This week I spoke with Edith Eager.

Edith is a Holocaust survivor and specialist in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Her latest book The Gift, 12 Lessons to Save Your Life, shows us how to stop destructive patterns and

imprisoning thoughts in order to find freedom and enjoy life. She's also just

inspired me to consider putting 12 in the title of my next book. People love 12 don't they?

I'm very excited to speak to Edith later because of the sort of tremendous and sort of

almost unbelievable journey of her life as a survivor.

I'm fascinated to talk to her about Dr Joseph Menge,

that's sort of terrifying Nazi doctor. She's been through her mother was I mean she's just

been through unbelievable trauma but her primary philosophy is that to

reject the idea of victimhood. She was friends with

Victor Frankel who wrote Man's Search for Meaning, like one of the sort of great books of our time really or the last century so it's going to be
