Good evening, everybody, and welcome to the show. It's with a heavy heart that we opened

0:05.1

tonight's show discussing what happened over the weekend in Colorado Springs. And yes, there was

0:12.1

another mass shooting at an LGBTQIA nightclub. And this is heartbreaking for all of us, the community

0:18.2

especially, because these events, Sally events sadly are not unfamiliar and they are

0:24.2

happening more and more. And this is born out of a lot of the political polarization that's occurring right now in our country and in our culture.

1:22.0

1:27.0

And so it is politically driven.

1:28.3

And so we do want to recognize that.

1:30.3

I want to just mention a quote that's from a psychiatry today.

1:33.3

It says that mass shooters are often terrorists,

1:36.3

being radicalized or motivated by specific ideologies,

1:38.3

not usually people suffering for mental illness.
