Take us back a few years and tell us why you decided to enter the field of medicine in the first place.

Yeah, it's interesting.

You know, the day I was born, my parents decided that I was going to be a doctor.

I think this is the case for a lot of Asian Americans.

My dad grew up on a rice farm in Korea and he became a physician and basically pulled his

family out of poverty and lived the American dream. And so for him and for my mom, really what

they knew coming to the U.S. was that doctor equals success.

And so that's what they decided I was going to be.

And you say that you felt like an outsider growing up.

And I'm wondering if you could tell us a little bit about that and how plastic surgery played a role in your own life.

Yeah, so I grew up in the only Asian family, really the only non-white family in a tiny

town in the middle of Michigan.

And really it was, in addition to being the only Asian family there, when I was younger

and I was in high school, my jaw began to grow to

enormous proportions, the point where my jaw was bigger than Jay Leno's jaw. And I ended up,
