Okay, so I'm just going to tell you how the sausage gets made for a second.

When I'm doing a downstream, what happens is that there's a Google Doc, and I fill

this Google Doc with notes and questions and prompts.

And basically, the reason why that happens is because I'm

responsible for making sure that there's at least 60 minutes of watchable content for you.

And this is the backstop, right? This is me taking responsibility for exactly that.

But the dream is when you get a guest for whom you don't need the notes. You barely even need the questions and you certainly don't need a plan because in their bones,

they are a teller of political and historical stories.

And that's exactly who Blind Boy is.

You've probably listened to his podcast.

You probably recognise him from the bag over his face.

But for me, what he is is somebody

who is so interested in people, the history of ideas, and answering the question of why we are

the way we are, that you just have to sort of set him off and watch him run. So I hope you
