Welcome to Your World Within Daily. I'm Eddie Panero. And in this episode, I'm going to talk you all amped up for the weekend here. So I had a conversation with Zach in the car yesterday that I thought was interesting, wrote it down,

0:40.9

wanted to talk about it, and it has to do with a very specific video that I've made,

0:49.5

slash speech slash song, that I'll play at the end of this episode here or at least I'll

0:55.6

play a part of it and uh it really it starts with the story so there is a producer that he's done

1:04.1

a ton of incredible work um a lot of it's sort of outside the realm of what I listen to he does a

1:09.1

lot of rap he's worked with like Jay Z and Drake and stuff like that, but he does pop too. So he works with Beber and

1:14.8

John Mayer, and his schick was he was going from city to city. And he had this little sit down for

1:21.8

creators called Pass the Ox. And his name was Illmind. And basically the idea was, you know, people that make music in the area, you go to this studio, I think there were about 20, maybe 30 of us.

1:37.4

And you go around, you play 60, you walk up to the front where he is, and you plug your phone into into the ox cord that's what they call it past

1:45.4

the ox you play about 60 seconds and um essentially he he reviews it kind of critiques it gives you

1:54.8

some some tough love and some compliments and then on to the next right so it's a chance to really

1:59.5

get a feel for where you're at here's some artists explore stuff like that and so you know i do some songwriting from uh from time

2:07.8

to time and i saw it pop up and i'm like you know what that'd be really fun so i went with my brother

2:12.6

it was uh like in the heart of of downtown, was really an interesting location.

2:19.6

It was like this grungy, it almost seemed like a broken down building.

2:24.2

And then you go in through this metal door,

2:28.5

and it's one of the most beautiful studios I've ever seen.

2:30.9

It was really surreal.

2:31.9

It was pretty cool.

2:33.3

But I wrote this song for,

2:36.2

specifically for the event. And so I walk in with my brother, sit down and it's, you know,

2:42.5

we're way out of our element, or I should say, you know, I was the way out of my element.
