Coming to you from MiniHQ, where work is still being done on Thursday, January 9th, 2014,

Wolf, Day 56 of Doug's movie a day, I watched

a screener of 12 years a slave, and it's as brutal and beautiful as they say it is. Definitely one of

the best films of the year. I spent the whole time wishing for some Django-style revenge, but this

movie is no fantasy. Seems inappropriate to say Doug digs it, but he does.

It's not a fun movie, but it's an important and memorable one with lots of great performances.

Let's read a couple iTunes comments, shall we?

S. Clampett wrote, I consume everything in Mr. Benson's Mediaverse, and the minis are like icing on the Benson cake for any Doug completest. Simple yet sweet. However, I was an unlucky victim of the blocked trend on Twitter a few years ago. A few years ago, I'm still blocking people to this day. I probably blocked somebody this morning.

Let me think. Yeah, I did. If someone says something obnoxious to me, I'm going to block them.

But when they come on the Doug Loves Minis page on iTunes and say that they're a big fan and lots of nice things,

worth the time.

mention it. I watched I know That Voice on demand, on cable.
