But this story certainly caught my attention.

Three students at the Beverly Crest-based Harvard Westlake School have committed suicide the past seven months.

Now, that's an astonishing number for a student population of 1600.

First, last spring, a young girl at Harvard Westlake's junior class.

A few months later, a senior boy shot himself, and a third, a junior,

killed himself just after school broke for the summer. And one of the people at the school said,

it's tragic, but not terribly surprising that students are feeling pressured from academic

expectations and this whole LA lifestyle. You know,

Harvard, Westlake, is very upscale place. I think tuition is around 46, almost $47,000 a year.

But the economic issues are irrelevant, really, when it comes to this, because we're seeing

that this is a national trend and an alarming trend.

According to the CDC, an estimated 49,449 people died by suicide in the U.S. last year up 2.6%

from an estimated 48,000 in 2021 to talk to us about why is this happening?
