This is going to be a quick introduction. My guest is Doug Allen today. Doug is the

creator, executive producer of the TV series Entourage and the director of the movie entourage which just finished shooting and I think he's editing now.

It's funny, um, Doug, you know, when people talk about legendary creators of TV series, you know, and I'll bring up David

Milch or Matthew Weiner, David Chase, I mean Doug's a guy who, out of his imagination created and his observations

these four characters who are completely indelible.

He wrote almost every word of the series even though other people are credited and I'm sure he'll say other people did write some episodes.

It was this guy's voice for all those seasons of television and he really did something remarkable and I'm excited to talk to him about it.

There's a guy who's had before entourage a lot of ups and downs in his career.

He was kind of written off by the town. He had to scrape and fight and

and in the end he has become an enormously successful creative person.

And this is going to be fun.

I'm glad he's in New York and I can't wait to talk to him about Hollywood.

He'll be here in a couple of minutes and talk to you then.

So Doug is credited with writing 96 episodes of that show.

The next closest person is credited with writing 21 episodes and I would bet some of those 21 were also also written by Duck.
