And we're going to talk about the aftermath of George Tiller's murder, the reaction to

President Obama's speech reaching out to the Muslim world in Cairo and the really upsetting

sentencing of Laureleng and Unile Lee, who are two journalists working for

current TV in North Korea.

So let's start off by talking about George Tiller.

We had this awful murder a week ago last Sunday of a doctor who was, you know, famed and

or ill-famed, depending on your perspective, for doing particularly difficult late-term

abortions in Wichita, Kansas. And since his death, there's just been an outpouring of

emotion and stories and thinking about the kind of outer edge of abortion from all sides.

Hannah, do you of us? Well, I have to say I'm particularly chastened because on this very podcast, I was very casual

about the notion that it wasn't that difficult to get an abortion in many states.

And what's come out since Tillers' murder, and there's a wonderful story in the Washington

Post on Monday about this is that in a state like Mississippi, it's not only so difficult to get a third-term abortion, to get any abortion.

There's one doctor, Dr. Joseph Booker, who constantly feels like his life is in danger and who is hampered by tons and tons of restrictions.

And then the same thing with Tiller, where I didn't quite realize that it was on the outer extreme, as you called it, which is usually the case of a woman who finds out something's very damaged with the fetus.

There really is only three places where you can go and only one that's very well publicized, which was Tiller's clinic.
