I'm Hannah Rosen here in the D.C. studio wishing I was in the Melbourne studio for all my

complaints. I can't believe I almost didn't go to Australia. I am joined in

New York by Noreen Malone from the New Republic. Hi, Noreen. Hi, Hannah. How was your trip?

It could not have been more fabulous, honestly. Like, it just couldn't have been better. So I can't

believe that I almost didn't go and I even complained about it before I went.

It was really amazing. Cool. So jealous. You're so jealous. I forgot to introduce you, June Thomas. Hi, June Thomas.

Hey, Hannah Rosen. Hi. Yes, it was fabulous. The Festival of Dangerous Ideas was fun. I got to hang out with Dan Savage a lot, which was really fun. I got to watch Dan Savage like rip a new one to this like conservative nostalgia, you know? And Dan Savage just does that by being like as foul-mouthed as he can. Like saying any way he can say like male oral sex, like any version of that that he can throw in the guy's face just to, and it was like on live TV. Did he use the version male oral sex? No, no, no. He just said like, you're just trying to stop me from sucking dick. Like that's how he would say it over and over again. And the guy was just turning purple by the end of it. I mean, it was really extremely funny. So he was

fun and then I traveled a lot. It was just fantastically fun. And on that note, well, go ahead.

I liked your piece on it about the freedom of traveling without kids. It made me very grateful.

Yes. So you can read my story about Australia to know why I had so much fun. It was just this weird,

liberating kind of moment, you know. Anyway, on that note,

I'm going to thank not someone who wrote into our podcast, but the people, we have a lot of

GabFest fans in Australia. Did you guys know that? Yeah. No. A lot. That's awesome. It's really

awesome. And I'm particularly thanking Callie and Tess, who I talk to online, who were totally delightful.
