My God, it's been days, and I have not stopped watching that Super Bowl halftime show on

repeat and repeat and repeat.

Oh my God, I cannot get enough of it.

It was so good.

It was exactly what we needed at that moment. I, for such a

flash, felt proud to be American again. Could you imagine? And like, felt sexy. Do you remember

when it felt sexy to be American? Bad buddy made me feel that way again. It was the exact right tone, the exact

right message, the exact right celebration at a moment when we needed it. And I'm so pissed

off at all those MAGA idiots who tried to start a culture war about this, trying to make it

seem like it would be un-American for a Spanish-language person

to perform at the halftime show, as if, like, there's some sort of traditional moral

value behind commercials and corporate sponsorships and concussions that the MAGA has some sort

of copyright over with the Super Bowl. It was so vibrant. It was such a privilege

to watch him take us through this dance tour of Latin American culture, the way that people

love their community, their neighborhood, their just, like, vivacious way of living at a time

when they could have had some sort of like huge protests at the

Super Bowl. He said, you know what I'm going to do? I'm not going to show you beaten down people.
