Hey my friends Carrie Green here. I'm glad you're back with me for the morning

night set. You and I have a great opportunity, a great privilege today to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's

word. This is not just something men made up this is the word of the eternal God

that's been revealed to us in the scriptures. We get to align our minds with his way of thinking,

and I can't think of a better way to face the day. So let's dive in. We're going to look at

John Chapter 18 verses 1 through 3. We're starting a new chapter today so I hope

you're encouraged by that we're making some progress and before we get going I

just want to encourage you to tell somebody else about the morning mindset

tell them how you've benefited. Tell them the things

God has done in your life through it and then share the morning mindset with them. You can make

an eternal difference in the life of someone you love simply by sharing this resource.

All right, let's look at John 18 verses one through three.

This is picking back up the narrative after Jesus had just said this lengthy prayer

between himself and the Father and this is just before Jesus is about to go to the

cross. John picks up the story this way. When Jesus had spoken these

words he went out with his disciples across the brook Kidron where there there was a garden, which he and his disciples entered.

Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples.

So Judas, having procured a band of soldiers and some officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees,

went there with lanterns and torches and weapons.

Okay, so do you get the picture here?

Jesus just left the upper room where he was with his disciples experiencing the very first

communion or Lord's supper together, which was kind of a change of their
