Battling through dreadful weather and depressing news as ever, Aaron, but it helps that this is our first show together of the new year. How are you?

You seem to have such a sunny complexion with the fabulous lighting

we have in the studio. I wish it was summer. I'm actually deeply sick. I was bedridden for a few

days. I'm back. I'm very happy to be hosting today's show, though. I probably shouldn't be hosting it.

I suspect I'm not infectious. What were there being week two? That was just done probably.

Before anybody wants to have a go at me. But these are really, really

important news stories we're talking about tonight. And I'm very grateful to be able to cover

them with yourself and, of course, be joined by our fantastic audience. Coming up on tonight's

show, concerns are growing for the health of the Palestine Action Hunger Strikers, with one

activist having been on strike

for over 70 days. First, though, we'll, of course, be discussing the latest developments from Iran.

There is very little verifiable information coming out of Iran at the moment.

But according to the government, the mass anti-regime protest that have rocked the country since

late December are beginning to subside.
