Hey, good morning. It is Saturday, April 1st. I'm Ali Velshi. This week marked another

inflection point for the state of our democracy. Donald Trump, the rookie politician,

who somehow made it into the White

House with zero political experience, only to be disgraced as the first president to be impeached

twice while in office, is now the first current or former president of the United States to be

criminally indicted in history. NBC News has learned that his indictment includes about 30 charges related to document fraud.

Those are classified as misdemeanors, and the Associated Press is reporting that, according to

its sources, Trump is also facing at least one felony charge stemming from the Manhattan

District Attorney Alvin Bragg's investigation of the former president's role in the hush money

payments made to the former

adult film star, Stormy Daniels, with whom he allegedly had an affair. Donald Trump denies

there was an affair, but in a new interview with the London-based Times radio that aired yesterday,

Daniel said she's not afraid. She even hopes to be called to testify against Trump.

Trump's indictment is expected to remain sealed until Tuesday afternoon when he's scheduled

to turn himself in to be formally arraigned at a Manhattan courthouse. While there, he will

be fingerprinted, processed, and have the charges read to him by Judge Juan Mershon, who will

officially oversee the case.

Coincidentally, he's the same judge who presided over the Trump Organization's criminal

tax fraud trial late last year.

That resulted in the company being fined the maximum penalty of $1.6 million.

Now, none of that, the unsealing of the indictment, the formal arraignment, and all of the logistics
