| 0:00.0 | Over the past 20 years, I have helped thousands of women through one-on-one coaching and in my programs and courses, and I can tell you when we start working together, the number one thing they're waiting for, the thing that they think will magically happen one day. |
| 0:14.0 | Confidence. And I can tell you it's never coming the way that at the time they think it will. It's not something that you wake up one day and magically possess. |
| 0:22.0 | It doesn't arrive in your inbox with a bow on it. You're not going to open your Bible one morning |
| 0:26.8 | and find it tucked between Psalms and Proverbs, like a divine bookmark. And yet we treat it like it is. |
| 0:33.2 | We wait for it. We pray for it. We act like if we just had it, we could move forward. And we act like |
| 0:40.6 | until we have it, we can't possibly move forward with the thing God's been nudging us to do, right? |
| 0:51.9 | But here's what I've learned after nearly 20 years in business and coaching all of these women. |
| 0:57.4 | You don't need confidence to start. You need evidence. You need small actions and brave reps and |
| 1:03.3 | faithful steps that your brain can look at one day and go, oh, we've done hard things before. |
| 1:08.2 | We can do this again too. Because confidence isn't the requirement. It's the result. The real question isn't, do I feel ready? The real question is, can I show up anyway? So I want to talk about the real reason why so many of us stay stuck. But before we get started, I want to tell you. We're waiting to feel qualified. We're waiting to be fully |
| 1:28.5 | healed. We're waiting for the anxiety to disappear. We're waiting for that perfect moment where |
| 1:33.0 | confidence just lands on us like some sort of magic dust. And then, then we'll launch the thing. |
| 1:40.4 | We'll speak the truth. We'll say yes. We'll walk away, we'll step up, but that moment |
| 1:44.9 | it just doesn't exist. And I think deep down we know that, but we keep waiting anyway because |
| 1:50.6 | taking action while we're still scared feels reckless, it feels irresponsible, or it feels irresponsible, |
| 1:55.9 | or it feels like we're just being wise or prayerful or being strategic. Here's what we tell ourselves. I just need |
| 2:03.7 | one more book. I need to take one more course. I need to pray about it a little longer. I need to get |
| 2:09.0 | a little more clarity. I need to feel at peace in my spirit. And listen, there's nothing wrong with |
| 2:14.1 | preparation. But at some some point preparation becomes procrastination |
| 2:18.0 | dressed up in spiritual language. Here's the deal. Confidence is not what gets you started. |
| 2:24.2 | Courage is. Courage is what gets you started, not confidence. And most confident women don't |
| 2:29.9 | start that way. They start shaky. They showed up scared. They built something I like to call a track |
