Hey, what's up, Alex here talking about don't slay, pray.

We need to be children of God who are not worried about slaying, but are more focused on

praying.

Oftentimes I try to tackle my problems with the mentality of I'm going to slay this.

We say this a lot in our culture.

Sleigh, queen, slay, or, bro, he's slain on call of duty,

or all this, I don't know.

You know what I'm saying though.

To slay something is to kill it, to just crush it, to be so good at it, to just be like victorious and awesome at it.

And we celebrate that kind of stuff in our culture. And so often we can tackle every little issue that comes across our plate with this mentality,

or every big issue that comes across our plate with this mentality.

But Christ wasn't in the habit of slain.

He made it a habit of praying.

And he taught his disciples to do the same.

Here's an example.

In Matthew chapter 9, verse 37, 30, and 38, it says,

Then he said to the disciples, the harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the

Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest. What's going on here in Matthew
