I'm walking right now near an airport, as you can hear.

The plane seemed particularly loud today.

Maybe the wind is blowing in the right direction.

Maybe the air is thick with humidity and that allows sound to travel farther.

I don't know.

I just know that they seem louder than normal.

Where was I?

We are just days away from the meteorological first day of autumn, September 1st.

Weather scientists, they don't focus on whatever

it is, September 22nd, as the day when autumn arrives, they say, nope, September 1st. It's the

meteorological first day of autumn. And I don't know anybody who doesn't like fall. I know people who hate summer. I know people

who hate the winter. I even know some people who are not crazy about the spring. But I don't know

anyone. I've never heard anyone say, I hate autumn. It is a gorgeous season. The weather begins to change. The temperatures drop. The air becomes crisper, depending on where you live, the leaves begin to change, some places as early as late September,

a lot of places October, some places into November, even December.

It just becomes a gorgeous, gorgeous season to really, if you enjoy being outside and enjoy walking, it's so inviting.
