Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote

ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning you guys. Good morning indeed just a few days

left of this year so let's finish strong. We're back in the Thrive Bible so Tori is going to take

it from here. Yes y'all today's devotional is titled Beyond Our Emotions and the scripture

is Jonah 4, 3 through 4 and it says this. Just kill me now Lord. I'd rather be dead than alive if

what I predicted will not happen. The Lord replied, is it right for you to be angry about this?

The love letter from God says, beloved child, I will help you calm your emotions. You are allowed

to feel every emotion, even anger, and I am never mad at you for struggling with anger.

There is much in the world to be mad about and you will not understand why things are this way

until we are together for all eternity. As your father, I want you to come to me when you

feel out of control emotionally so I can help you with your heart. I am like a gardener who

pulls the weeds in your heart. Weeds that will keep you from growing in faith.

Don't be afraid to come to me. I know your heart better than you do and I will perform spiritual

heart surgery so your heart can be free to love. Love your Heavenly Father. Their affection says,

God handled Jonah's anger perfectly. He didn't expect Jonah not to feel and he understood

Jonah's struggle to comprehend why God was merciful to such wicked people. In God's compassion,

he did not condemn Jonah. Instead, God asked Jonah the question that would help him search his

heart so he could be free from anger. The treasure of truth says, we don't have to understand

everything God is doing in order to trust him. Did you choose this devotional purpose?

It's funny. I actually just opened up to it and when I read it, I was like, maybe today.

Maybe because of me. Y'all in full transparency. Anger is probably the biggest thing I struggle with.
