A daily 10-minute podcast designed to provide you with a little added motivation to get out the door,

take the walk, and more importantly, to keep on going.

Today's 10-minute walk starts right after this.

32 degrees, it is windy, strong breeze, light wind, doesn't matter. Wind chill in the mid-20s. I'm walking on a paved trail next to a lake.

And I've got some trees to my left, which I hope will be blocking some of the wind.

Check the forecast. Looks like we are still on track to get some snow, probably in about 48 hours,

which is rare for Myrtle Beach.

Not unheard of, in fact a year ago, we had a storm that dropped five inches but before that it

had been years since measurable snow fell in Myrtle Beach and it looks like some more

is coming and that'll make for a unique walk so today I want to share with you an

email from Karen in Michigan.

I love these kinds of episodes because this is someone else's story about the power of walking.

It's like, I'm not just making this stuff up.

I responded to Karen and I asked her permission if I could share this.

She said, absolutely.

So hang on, I'm wearing gloves because it's cold.
