One of my favorite things to do in a situation where I can feel tension building or I can feel a lot of kind of ego in a situation

or I can feel almost like a temper flaring or something arising where I'm like, oh, like a little

warning bell, a little warning sign. Something's coming to the surface. Something is arising.

I think we all know that feeling of, oh my gosh, is a fight about to happen?

Is something really going to blow up here?

We know it.

It's like, ooh.

My favorite thing to do is put simply this.

Don't give it any oxygen, right? You can starve something of oxygen and it will naturally fall away. Right. This is true in nature. This is true of life. Sometimes even in a

conversation, I notice like two people with opposing points of view,

and I can see how, oh, this could go one of two ways, right? This could be something that is,

you know, we avert from this point, that we avert from this topic of conversation, or I can

see like this being a storm off or this is dominating the entire day and then whoever, who knows, this could go

on for even years. There is so much wisdom in starving something of oxygen. I think that we all

know, frankly, that there is great power given to anything that we give attention to. So whatever that is for you,

you can give oxygen to the thing. Like maybe someone's trolling you online or someone's gossiping

about you. And you think, oh, I'm going to set them straight. Oh, I'm going to hit them back.

Oh, I'm going to. I'm going to. Hmm. Way to blow it up,

right? Way to really fan the flames versus extinguish them. I remember years ago, I told someone that there

was like a comment chain about her. And I was like, I wasn't sure if I should tell her. I was thinking,

it was on LinkedIn. I was like, do you want to read this? Do you want to? And she's like, I wasn't sure if I should tell her. I was thinking it was on
