Welcome once again to the Col case Christianity podcast, I am Jay Warner Wallace.

This week we're going to talk a little bit about some of the issues related to a series

of stories that really appeared over the summer that kind of popped up independent of one

another, but I think eventually you're going to be tied together and it always seems

like it comes in cycles, doesn't it, where you have as we approach either Easter or Christmas,

you have stories of Jesus where someone is trying to say the truth of Jesus is over here.

This hidden truth that no one has discovered for centuries, I actually have not discovered

something the truth about Jesus and let me tell you what really is, what really happened

in the first century.

Don't we always see these kinds of things around the Christian holidays, and well in fact,

of course we always do, and we're going to see them again this year as well, and over

the summer we started to see a series of these and gosh, it seems like we're under attack

on about every front, I mean the things that were so well established and have been so

well established historically, everything seems up for grabs by people who are doing

really kind of poor work both historically and are really speaking to a culture that doesn't

know the truth, and so it's easy to deceive them.

So we have to deal with this on a one by one basis, stories about Jesus that have been

rejected for centuries, that reappear as a lost gospel, as a hidden truth, just discovered
