Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the morning mindset. I want to say welcome to those of you

listening in Nigeria and in Canada. How's it going, eh? And all over the world, there are people

listening. Even in Russia, we have listeners. Thank you for listening to the morning mindset.

This is our opportunity to get our mind aligned with the truth of God's word for this day.

Today we'll be looking once again at 2 Peter chapter 2 verses 1 through 3.

So take out your Bibles or your morning mindset journals and follow along.

Before we dig in, though, I want us to pray because we need the Holy Spirit's help and

power, first of all, to understand His Word, and then secondly, to apply it rightly in our day. So pray

with me if you would. Our Lord and our God, we bow our hearts. We bow our heads. We bow our very spirit before you,

honoring you as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. We're asking you to guide us into truth today.

We're going to be reading about liars who come in among us. And they teach false things that are

destructive.

Lord, give us discernment, give us understanding of what it is they do and what the outcome of their teaching is so that we can be on guard and we can honor you.

We ask it in Jesus' name, amen.

Okay, friends, 2nd Peter 1.3.

Peter is describing what happens when false teachers come among a people. And he says, false prophets arose among the people. He's talking about in Old Testament,

Israel. When false prophets would rise up, they would bring about problems for the people. And he says,

just as there will be false teachers

among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the master who bought them,

bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them,

the way of truth will be blasphemed.

And in their greed, they will exploit you with false words.
