So when we want to reach for the worst political insult available

for someone on the right, what do we say?

We say he's a fascist.

And a lot of people have been saying exactly that about Donald Trump.

Based on his racism, his enthusiasm for violence,

his attacks on the free press, etc.

Who calls for a ban on Muslims?

A fascist, right?

But does it make any sense to talk about Trump that way?
