litter, and I'm here to bust some myths. I honestly thought that cigarette butts were completely

harmless that they were made of cotton wool that they just disappeared like a banana skin, but they

don't. They can take up to 14 years to break apart. I thought it was totally biodegradable,

but it's made out of plastic and microplastics are not good news, because that is what a cigarette

butt becomes when it breaks down. That's pretty bad, particularly when you think cigarette butts

make up 66% of all litter. I had no idea. So if you do smoke, bin it, and if you're not near a bin,

take it with you.
