0:00.0 | Hey all, welcome back to the real-life pharmacology podcast. |
0:03.6 | I am your host pharmacist Eric Christensen. |
0:07.3 | And today I'm going to cover the drug at Dulutegravere. |
0:12.7 | So doleutegraveer is an agent that can be utilized in the management of HIV infection. |
0:20.4 | And oftentimes in HIV infection treatment, we do need to use multiple combinations |
0:29.0 | of drugs with multiple mechanism of action. And the mechanism of action of dolytegrivir is an indigris inhibitor. |
0:40.6 | So mechanistically, how this works is the drug kind of interrupts the HIV life cycle by binding integrase. |

2:26.3 | And I'll talk a little bit about that in the drug interaction section as well. |
2:33.3 | Always important to remember that, you know, this information is time sensitive, certainly. |
