Monday, President Biden was at the Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston,

marking the 60th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's famous moonshot speech.

Kennedy made it a goal for Americans to launch a man into space

and suddenly every kid wanted to be an astronaut.

Biden told the crowd that his moonshot goal is ending cancer

because just about every American has been affected by it.

Even the president's own son, Beau, who died of brain cancer in 2015.

And then choosing to go to the moon,

President Kennedy said America was doing so, quote,

not because it was easy, but because it was hard.
