We begin another week confronted with Donald Trump's unprecedented use of presidential power.

Let's begin with the Fed. The Justice Department now pursuing a criminal case against Fed chair Jerome Powell, who Trump has been pressuring for months.

The investigation focuses on the Fed's renovation of its Washington

headquarters. At least three Republican senators are pushing back against the investigation.

Senator Lisa Murkowski calling it, quote, nothing more than an attempt at coercion. Senator Tom

Tillis saying he'll oppose confirmation of any Fed nominee until the legal matter is resolved.

Then there's Venezuela. This Wednesday, we could see the next steps towards a Senate vote on the

president's war powers in Venezuela. It comes as Trump asserts his power on social media,

sharing an image of a Wikipedia page, calling him the acting president of Venezuela, threatening Cuba

to negotiate before it's too late. And in Iran, the Wall Street Journal reports officials

say Trump is leaning towards new military strikes. So the protests intensify there, and the regime

continues its violent crackdown. The journal reports some aides, including Vice President Vance,

trying to urge Trump to try diplomacy first. And finally, in Minnesota, the state's attorney general,

along with the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, are suing the Trump administration to stop

the surge of federal agents into the Twin Cities.
