Well, welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I'm blessed this evening that Tora Cobb invited a number of friends to come together who went on the Holy Land Kilgumich together

with Father Rick Halverson as our spiritual leader and Father Rick was kind enough to give us a chance for eucharistic adoration this evening.

And now we're going to pray the rosary and then have a little time of friendship together.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

And let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for.

Today is the feast of St. Dominic.

Dominic was... Today is the Feast of St. Dominic.

Dominic was unique in the way that he used the rosary as a powerful tool of evangelization.

The great Dominican theologian Father Garague Lagrange writes at the end of the 12th century

southern France who was ravaged by the Albigensian heresy a heresy which denied the infinite goodness and power of God by admitting of a

principle of evil which was often victorious. It was at that moment that our blessed lady made known to St. Dominic a kind of preaching

till then unknown, which she said would be one of the most powerful weapons against future

heirs and in future difficulties.

Under her inspiration, St Dominic went into the villages,

gather the people, and preached to them the mysteries of salvation, the incarnation, the redemption,

eternal life. As Mary had taught him to do, he distinguished the different kinds of mysteries and after each short instruction

he had 10 Hell Mary's recited and what the word of the preacher was enabled to do

the sweet prayer of the Hill Mary did for hearts. As Mary promised, it proved to be a most fruitful form of evangelization. So we pray the Rosary in a new way that's really an old way introduced

by St. Dominic, a short teaching from the word of God, and then we pray one decade of the

rosary, and we do this five times.
