Now, this topic might be a little bit controversial, but certainly when I think about the topic

of seed starting mixes from the perspective of, call it a semi-permoculturist gardener,

is what I would consider myself, I certainly like to think about the whole ecosystem, both

underneath the soil and on top of the soil, as well as all the animals and plants that

sort of integrate into a garden landscape, I start to think about seed starting mix.

And I start to think about sterile seed starting mix, which is how a lot of these seed mixes

Okay, it's totally sterile.

You're not going to have, you know, damping off disease if you use this mix, well, here's

where I start to get confused, and you know, I don't have proof on this theory, I'm just

First of all, let's say you did buy a sterile mix, right?

Well, the second you open the bag, it is no longer sterile.
