Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson.

Here on the hump day edition of the yard, it's also graduation day here in the Robertson household

is the caboose. Ian Robertson will graduate from Starville High School. I'll have three Starville High School graduates in the family.

So I think it's safe to say we are

jackets for life, right? Congratulations to everybody else out there that's graduating high school or

college. Chances are if it's college, you've already walked. And so it is a great accomplishment

and wish the best for everybody involved. Many people will decide, you know what, I'm not going to go to college I'm done going at school, I'm gonna go get a trade, I'm gonna go get a job, and just start making my way in the world. You know what? We all have a path. So whatever you choose to do, everyone here at the Boneyard, today it's me and Mojo and Marley, my black lab and blue healer.

But we wish you the best.

We do.

Whatever you do, I'll tell you, when I was graduating high school, I remember thinking,

you know, there's this feeling of finality.

You know, it's like, okay, all right, this is done.

And here's the thing that I'll

tell you, too, especially if you don't stay in your hometown. And I couldn't do that, right? But if you don't stay in your hometown, many of the people that you're going to hug goodbye tonight, you'll never see again. Ever. You'll never see them again. And sometimes that's a good thing. sometimes it's bad. You'll see some people at the reunions. You'll see people when you come back

to town to bring the grandkids. Ever. You'll never see them again. And sometimes that's a good thing. Sometimes it's bad.

You'll see some people at the reunions. You'll see people when you come back to town to bring the grandkids home and that kind of stuff. But the reality of it is, is that at this point in your life, you probably have more, quote, friends that at any point in your life. The older you get, the less friends you have.

You figure out, too, you've got a lot of acquaintances,

kind of masquerading as friends. point in your life. The older you get, the less friends you have. You figure out, too,

friend group you'll ever have. And maybe if you go to college, you know, you'll find

your little circle or whatever, but it is a, it's the end of the beginning. It's not an
