Democrats delayed a vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill last week

after progressives insisted that they would not vote for it

until there's an agreement on a separate social programs bill.

Some of Senator Joe Manchin's lines in the sand on the price of that

social programs bill were clarified, but it's still not clear what it will end up looking like.

For now, the Democrats legislative agenda is stalled while lawmakers try to resolve their differences.

Today, we're gonna talk about why Democrats have reached this point.

We also got a question from a listener suggesting that Republicans are better at achieving their policy goals

than Democrats.

As Democrats grapple with trying to pass their agenda,
