Reform UK has been making headlines again in UK politics

with last week's big-name defection by the one-time Tory leadership candidate Robert Generic.

The much less well-known Andrew Rosendell followed suit a couple of days later,

bringing Nigel Farage's House of Commons representation to seven.

And, as we know, the polls consistently suggest the party could perhaps do well enough at the next election to be in the mix for a call on Downing Street.

So what could all of that potentially do for politics here?

I'm Mark Carruthers, and in this edition of Red Lines we're looking at

the road ahead for reform and how it could pose problems for those parties competing for

unionist votes in future elections. And with me to discuss all of that, the political

editor of the Belfast Telegraph, Suzanne Breen, Anna Gross, who's a political correspondent at the

Financial Times, David McCann, co-host of the Stormant Sources podcast

For joining us today, Suzanne,

when unionist leaders look at the way reform is polling in England,

Wales and Scotland at the moment,

do you think they're losing sleep over a scenario where the party decides to put up candidates here as well?

I think they very much would be because unionism is already a crowded field with TUV, a potentially

revitalised Ulster Unionist party and the DUP. So I think that they would be very worried.
