to discuss a radical new vision for internet privacy and decentralization.

Bill Ottman, it's such a pleasure to have you on American Thought Leaders.

Thanks for having me.

Bill, you're the founder of a network that mines, of course, that is looking to basically

completely decentralize the social media experience.

And so tell me this, okay?

Twitter recently opened source to at least part of its algorithm.

So what's the significance of that?

Yeah, I think that it's a positive step in the right direction.

They have published a piece of their recommendation algorithm.

There's a couple other components of Twitter that they've open sourced.

Open sourcing is what we've been pushing for over a decade.

Anyone who doesn't know what that is, that means that the software is actually published,

so it's auditable, can be inspected.

You can make sure, theoretically, that there's not shadow banning, or there's not bias,

or there's not security issues.
