And all eyes are on what Speaker

Mike Johnson will or won't do when it comes to government funding and the impact that it's

going to have on the first quarter of Donald Trump's second term. Right now, the speaker is

in the minority of leadership and others saying that he wants a short-term CR that would set up a big funding fight in that first quarter of Trump's presidency.

You know, obviously that makes it easier for him in terms of getting his

speakership votes lined up, but maybe more difficult for Trump's actual agenda.

Yeah, listen, Anna, Johnson believes it is core that there is no other choice but a short-term

CR.

Now, this gets to like the ultimate question that we've all been

trying to answer for as long as we've been in journalism, or one of the big questions we've

been trying to answer since we've been in political journalism, which is, do you, as a leader,

we focus on the leadership, a republican or democratic leader do you

put a position out there and try to move your conference with you or caucus with you there
