It's already being called the scandal of the century.

In Honduras, a small but vitally important Central American country,

we may have just gotten a glimpse of how a global far-right power network operates.

It's a story that allegedly takes in the presidency of Donald Trump, the Prime Minister of Israel, the former president of Honduras, who was once imprisoned by the Americans for 45 years,

and then inexplicably pardoned by Trump, a bunch of his cronies, and of course,

the US deep state. And the story also includes a host of other peripheral characters, familiar,

but now recast in a strange light, Peter Thiel, the drug kingpin El Chapo, the presidents of Brazil, Bolivia, Mexico, and Colombia.

The scandal is called Hondurasgate, and the mainstream media so far haven't touched it.

For all its contingency and allure, it fits snugly into the story of imperialism in Latin America.

But is it actually true? And how do we know if the claims presented on the website

Hondurasgate.cath.ch relate to something real in the world? Should we simply expect to live

forever more in a world of deep uncertainty, presented with an enlic succession of claims

that we can neither disprove nor verify. And in what sense does it even matter if it is true?

To discuss this rapidly developing story, the history of the claims made, and to perhaps answer

some of those slightly more puzzling questions, I'm joined by

David Adler, the co-general coordinator of the Progressive International and an expert in

Latin American politics. David Adler, welcome to do your own research. Thank you so much for

having me to talk about such a bombshell revelation like Hondurasgate.

Tell us what is that bombshell?

Hondurasgate reveals an operation that not only spans the Americas,

but in its Israeli dimension, as we'll touch on Richard,

also kind of touches on the architecture of what we've been calling the Reactionary International.
