Proverbs chapter 14 as we endeavor to get our minds aligned with the truth of

God and this passage has three verses we're gonna look at today that tell us

how to become a person of understanding that means when we look at life we're

able to discern what's going on we're able to understand what's going on

behind the scenes in situations we're able to act wisely and in a way that

honors our God because of the understanding that we have we're gonna dive into

that just a moment but first I want to talk to all you Jesus freaks out

there all you crazy people the ones who really believe Jesus is the king and

look at Proverbs 14 6 27 and 33 verse 6 says a scoffer seeks wisdom in vain but

knowledge is easy for a man of understanding verse 27 the fear of the Lord is a

fountain of life that one may turn away from the snares of death and then

verse 33 wisdom rests in the heart of a man of understanding it makes

itself known even in the midst of fools so this idea of being a person of

understanding is obviously a desirable thing we all want to have answers to

the questions that come up in life and we all want to know what to do in those

difficult or awkward situations where nobody really seems to know what to do
