In this episode, number 218, I'm welcoming Susie Larson to help us remember the truth that healing is possible.

We're often scar tissue from our past hinders our process and our progress into the future. It just does. And we're so attached to past trauma without sorting through it.

It's like, as soon as we want to move forward, we want to dream again. The enemy just, I kind of liken it to a big canvas that the end of your past and it's brittle.

And he just puts it in your pathway and you're about to go to a new place of promise. And then this thing of your past is in front of you.

It's too much for me and you turn back and you go another way. But I just say like the football players who blast through the banner when they come onto the football field, you got to press through it.

And you can't do that alone. Most often you need a prayer counselor or mentor someone like you or a licensed counselor, a Christian counselor who can help you press through this scar tissue because there is life on the other side.

And it is time for us to break through everything that's hindering us because there are spaces that God wants us to occupy and it is possible for us to find healing in those places we never thought possible.

Pressing through the scars to get to the places of promise. I mean, y'all, I have so much passion on this topic.

Motherhood to me is just a gateway to get to the junk that's in our souls. And I think we want to talk about our kids' behaviors and I get that it's hard to parent, but honestly, it's the storms that are revealing the lies we're holding to be true and allowing God to give us new truth and allowing God to bring us to further healing and fullness and being fully alive like Susie wrote in her new book.

So I can't wait to talk about this topic with her.
