Summary

Certainty feels safe, but it often keeps us small. We open up about the brain’s safety bias, why “better the devil you know” holds you back, and how to reframe fear so you can choose growth over stagnation. Drawing on real-life moments from building a side hustle into a public platform, we unpack the quiet ways people trade potential for predictability and show how to build a healthier relationship with the unknown. Your brain, it's number one job to keep you safe and protected. We'll prefer a known problem

to an unknown problem, hence the old saying, better the devil, you know. But is that

0:25.0

true? Think about it. When I worked in my corporate job, I realized as people started noticing my

forward in uncertain conditions. And really, let me hammer this in here with this statement.

We've never lived in certain times. Tell me one time in your life, one day in your life,

1:59.3

you've had complete certainty. It is impossible.

2:05.3

But we will do our very best to manufacture it to create a semblance of it by staying in routines

2:11.4

that keep us stuck, that keep us small, engineering small lives because what's over the distance feels far too threatening.

2:20.5

My friends, if you want to make a shift in your life, there is going to be some discomfort

2:25.8

that you will have to tolerate. But is it worth it to you? That thing that you dream of,
