It is also important to study the hypocrites and to study the traits of the hypocrites

and one of the things that's very powerful about the language of the Qur'an

is that the Qur'an names very few. In fact, it only names one enemy of the Prophet

Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and Abu-Lahb.

But everybody else is described by qualities where there may be some of that quality present within us

if we're not paying attention. And this was true both of the enemies of the Prophet's life

some in Makkah as well as those in Medina. And so when you pay attention to the qualities

that Allah is mentioning about those evil people, then that gives you an opportunity to be introspective

and say, do I have some of those qualities?

Now, Subhanallah, there is one man who is an enemy of the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

When you say Allah Subhanahu alayhi wa sallam, completely dissected this man with his negative qualities.

It's this man. Ten negative traits in a series of four ayat where Allah Subhanahu alayhi wa sallam

just completely demolishes this man. Allah Azza wa Jalla says,

Allah Azza wa Jalla describes him with ten evil traits. And this was Al Walid bin Walira

a man who was very proud in the time of the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

And Allah says, do not follow.

A person whose vile and who swears a lot,

hemazim masyaan binameem, he passes on scandals and tales.
